Eddie.
What a cool guy.
Not only is he one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, but he has such a fascinating life story and I love hearing him tell it. He’s an inspiration and I can’t wait to see how much he accomplishes in life.
Desiré | San Antonio Portrait Photography
Desiré has been a good friend of mine for many years. She’s fun to be with, great to talk to, and she’s always very stylish with her hair done beautifully. Over the tumultuous summer of 2020, she made a decision to embrace and love her natural hair, as a testament to black women and the power they hold within their own selves.
She says it more beautifully than I ever could:
”I am a black woman and this is my hair! Growing up I was conditioned to think that nappy hair wasn’t pretty or accepted! It’s sad that we has African American women feel like we can’t rock our natural hair. No longer will I feel ashamed or not pretty for my nappy hair. Our hair is kinky, coily, nappy, Big and beautiful. That’s the way God made me! This journey has been a very very emotional one but this is my hair!! And I love it
“Being natural isn’t just a statement, it is the closest I can get to being myself. I wear my hair in a fro because I think it expresses exactly who I am and exactly where I come from.”
