Oh. My. Gosh.
These two? Definitely one of my favorite couples ever. We first “met” on Wedding Wire. Madison messaged me last summer asking for a quote for wedding photography, and we exchanged a few emails. Then, she disappeared. To be fair, this is 100% normal, but it usually means that the couple has decided to work with someone else. Fast forward a few months and I missed a call from Michael saying his fiancee had spoken with me about wedding photography and that they really hoped I was still available for their wedding date, things were hectic, but that I was their top choice (aw!). So, after playing phone tag, text tag, email tag, basically every kind of tag except actual freeze tag, we set a date to meet.
I showed up to the Starbucks in Boerne, Texas to see an ADORABLE Madison in a vintage inspired sundress, the cutest glasses I’ve ever seen, and a mustachioed Michael. I instantly loved them, even without actually knowing them. The next 30 minutes or so, we spent going over wedding day details, and I got to hear a little bit about their relationship. We hopped up from that little meeting and drove over to the Cibolo Nature Center to do some engagement photos.
What followed might have been the most hilariously fun session I’ve ever had. Between the dancing, dad jokes, and chatting about travel plans, the next hour literally FLEW by! I left their session SO ready to shoot their wedding- which I will blog very soon!
Basically, I totally love this couple and I can’t wait to see where life takes them. Forming relationships with people like Madison and Michael might be my favorite part of this job.
